Sugarbush Racing Club Prepares for 2016 Season

Sugarbush Racing Club welcomes new members to membership mixer Sunday, December 13, 4:30 to 6 p.m., at Castlerock Pub, Sugarbush.

Thursdays are race days for the club. From early January to March, the Sugarbush NASTAR course is home to the club’s eight-race series. The course is open exclusively to club members from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The club is all about fun, improving skills and friendly competition. Members’ racing experience ranges from “never raced before” to past competitive racing. Everyone is welcome. Again this year, several race clinics will be offered to improve skills and confidence. Clinics will be held for skiers new to racing, advanced racers and a very popular women’s-only session.

While racing is the essence of the club, members are very active people. During the season, the club offers many opportunities to get together, have fun and build friendships. Non-racers are welcome to join the club and participate in its activities. In addition to weekly post-race parties hosted at local pubs and restaurants, the club will sponsor a wine tasting, winter dance party, a hockey night at Norwich, a “fun race” and end-of-season banquet.

Club membership will warm up your Vermont winter and introduce you to new friends. The first party and annual member registration will take place on Sunday, December 13 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at Sugarbush’s Castlerock Pub. Free hors d’oeuvres, cash bar. Stop in to see if the Sugarbush Racing Club is for you.
