SRC season wrap-up
The 2014 SRC season concluded on Tuesday night with the annual banquet. 92 members attended and enjoyed a very nice buffet dinner in the Mountain View Room at Sugarbush Resort. Gil Edwards flawlessly performed his usual role as raffle MC. We are grateful to the many businesses and individuals who donated products and services to our club.
2014-2015 officers were elected and I think we have a very strong group of new officers and returning veterans. Diana Edwards was elected VP and Dave Koepele replaces long time treasurer, Rich Jones. I am very pleased that all three committee chairpersons have signed up for another. Laurie Landau, Debbie Koch and John Wilson did a terrific job last year and have already begun to recruit reinforcements for their teams. I will return as president for my second and final year. Diana will become responsible for membership, therefore we will need to find someone who is willing organize the raffle solicitation team. Please contact us before we contact you.
Unfortunately we were unable to complete all 8 scheduled races. Laurie has begun to think about how we can schedule next year which will improve the odds of beating Mother Nature. If you recall, we committed to paid up racers that we would apply a credit for each race cancelled and not made up. Therefore, each paid up racer will receive a $25 credit toward the 2015 race fee.
